"Thin in 10" by Jessica Smith and Liz Neporent - Review series starting

I used an Amazon gift certificate I received for my birthday to buy The Thin in 10 Weight-Loss Plan: Transform Your Body (and Life!) in Minutes a Day (affiliate link) by Jessica Smith and Liz Neporent.

I am starting to read this book, and it looks good so far! I answered the questionnaire on pages 15-16, and rated myself at intermediate level. The physical book (not the Kindle edition) comes with bonus DVD content, in the form of 5 workouts:

  • Cardio Quickie
  • Strength Shot
  • Total Body Band
  • Core Conditioning
  • Stretch & De-Stress.
I was going to review Cardio Quickie for you this morning, but I realized I already had - Jessica has shared it on Fit Bottomed Girls.

I would add to my review that there is a fair amount of jumping. My body doesn't always agree with jumping, so I modified it as needed. I do think I have improved since I reviewed the workout, but I still can't jump all over the place! I'm OK with that.

And I did a little more digging - it does appear that if you subscribe to the Sportskool Plus channel on YouTube for $2.99/month, they have the Jessica Smith Thin in 10 series. I think I subscribed to the Sportskool channel on the Roku at one time (maybe???), but I didn't find enough useful workouts at that time. I don't think I'll subscribe again right now, but this is an improvement for their channel in my opinion.

Back to the book, I don't think that any book will help me magically lose weight or want to eat right or exercise all the time. But right now, I could use a little inspiration. My thought when I bought this book was, even if it doesn't give me that inspiration, at least I received a nice workout DVD with the book.

I will be back later with more opinions about the book and the workouts. See you soon!
