Review of "10 Pounds Down with Jessica Smith: Better Body Blast" DVD - Part 2 - Legs

I was browsing at Big Lots and saw a box that advertised "$3 Fitness DVDs!". I decided to take a look, even though I thought I would find nothing. I found two DVDs. One DVD, which I didn't buy but am thinking about going back to get, was, I believe, this one: Leslie Sansone: Walk Away the Pounds - Weight Loss Series: Muscle Mile One (affiliate link). The one I found in the box and purchased was this DVD.

10 Pounds Down with Jessica Smith (affiliate link for Amazon)

I do have a couple of 10 Minute Solution DVDs with Jessica, but this is the first one I've bought that was because it has her name on it. I was hoping that it would be a lot like her online workouts. I did the leg workout today to see if I liked it as much as the arm workout from yesterday.

I assumed it was a 20 minute workout – it was actually closer to 23. This matters when you are doing so many lunges and squats! Of course, Jessica varies the way you do the squats and lunges – it’s definitely not boring. Some modifications were offered, but I had to modify others on my own because I just couldn’t do them as shown. I have enough confidence and knowledge to that now, but it might have been discouraging if I was just starting out. The leg raises at the end were hard and a little bit awkward. But I felt like they were really working my legs.

I would do this workout again! It was a really good 20 minute workout that didn’t leave me dripping with sweat, but it definitely got my heart rate up.

I'll be back soon to review the abs portion of the workout.
