Review of "10 Minute Solution: Hot Body Boot Camp" DVD, Part 1



I picked up this DVD on a mega-sale recently so I could review it for you (and hopefully, get a great workout!) Today's DVD is "10 Minute Solution: Hot Body Boot Camp" (affiliate link).

I didn't have high hopes for this DVD. I guess the name "boot camp" has soured me on workouts that are going to be too high impact for me and my knee. So I was pleasantly surprised when I actually enjoyed the workout! I did 3 segments today: Hot Body Cardio, Ab Assault, and Better Body Stretch.

Hot Body Cardio (and really, must we call this DVD and this segment Hot Body? I really don't like exercises that I'm embarrassed to mention in mixed company.) was the hardest of the three for me. It started off with some moves that were a little too dance-y for me, but I picked them up by the last repetition of the move, LOL! There were lunges, mountain climbers, jumping jacks, and more. There were 2 different types of jumping jacks, but one was a twist-y jumping jack that I decided not to risk my knees for. This definitely got my heart rate up! I enjoyed this segment, and in my mind, it was the segment I was going to enjoy the least, so that's a WIN!

Ab Assault was the next segment I did. Seriously, I did this workout about 20 minutes before I'm sitting down to write the review, and I can't remember very much about it, which means that it didn't kill me! It was lower intensity than the first segment, so that was a plus. And I was glad that there were some harder moves that I was able to complete without modification! It is always so encouraging when I can accomplish something I perceive as difficult.

The last segment I did today was Better Body Stretch. This was a great stretching segment, using a towel to make sure a good stretch is achieved. I chose this segment before I did any of the DVD, and it was a great ending to the workout I did today.

I would definitely do this DVD again! It was very enjoyable in a "I feel strong!" sort of way.
